Independent Project on Radar

The Assignment:

· Design a presentation (using poster board or PowerPoint) on “invisible” planes; planes that are not seen by conventional RADAR.

· Present your project to the entire class.

· Create a follow-up quiz to be taken by your fellow students.

Your project must address the following questions / issues:

(1) How does regular RADAR work?

(2) What distinguishes the different types of Radars?

(3) What current types of aircraft are RADAR evading?

(4) What kind of technology is used to evade the RADAR signal?

(5) How effective is this RADAR-avoiding technology? What counter-measures are being developed to detect these planes?
