Dear Applicant:

Please review all of the information for the Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) Program to be held at MIT Haystack Observatory.

To complete the application process, you must prepare all of the following:

  1. A letter (2 pages maximum) addressed to: Director, MIT Haystack Observatory, describing your interest in the summer research program and projects, your relevant educational and work experience, your career goals, and any other information that you wish to share with us. Please submit via email* to: reuapp@haystack.mit.edu
  2. A completed application form. Please submit on-line.
  3. Your curriculum vitae or resumé. Please submit via email* to: reuapp@haystack.mit.edu
  4. An official copy of your most recent transcript, including previously attended colleges, if relevant. This must be sent via postal mail and must arrive by the due date.
  5. Two letters of recommendation from your professors as indicated on the application form. An email with a PDF attachment of the signed recommendation letter will be accepted or the letter may be sent via postal mail. In either case, the letters must arrive by the due date.

*Please submit these documents in either PDF, Postscript or MS Word format.
