Mounts

The original version of the SRT included a two-axis mount which consisted of two H-180 horizon-to-horizon mounts that were adapted to provide motion in both azimuth and elevation. Due to a lack of availability of the H180 mounts, the Alpha-Spid AZ/EL motor units were tested and provided as part of the SRT kit. Since then, CASSI Corp. has designed and tested a rugged AZ/EL mount that is now the standard mount provided with the kit. Instructions for the assembly of the three kinds of mounts are provided below.

Note - If you notice problems with tracking once you have assembled the mount correctly please contact Mike Cobb at CassiCorp
The current version of the SRT mount was developed by Cassi Corp. Instructions for assembly of this mount can be found on the Cassi web site by following the above link.
Previous versions of the SRT included two different mounts:
Kaul-Tronics Proform H-180 Polar Mount: This mount is no longer available, but was provided with the original SRT systems.
Alfa-Spid: An interim mount that was provided in the period during which Cassi Corp was developing their new mount for the SRT system. A limited number of SRTs carry this mount system.
