Xtterm

The Xtterm, typed on a system command line, sends an xterm (Tek mode) to $DISPLAY, which must be in X mode. This version is for gauss and is expected to be used by the active user of the Haystack 37-meter telescope.

USAGE:

user@fourier>Xtterm [argument]

An argument of 1, 2, 4, or D after Xtterm on the command line calls the appropriate "PlotAto" script depending on the users observing mode.

1, 2, or 4 corresponds to A, C, or E in the SetupRow = Umbrella primitive.

  • user@fourier>Xtterm 1....calls PlotAto, (1 channel Spectra display)
  • user@fourier>Xtterm 2....calls PlotAto2, (2 channel Spectra display)
  • user@fourier>Xtterm 4....calls PlotAto4, (4 channel Spectra display)
  • user@fourier>Xtterm D...calls PlotDSSAto, (Discreet Source Scan for Pointing)
