MIDAS

A series of MIDAS systems have been developed to operate and process the data from the Millstone Hill Incoherent Scatter Radar over the past several decades. The latest MIDAS system is MIDAS-Mobile which is an advanced multi-role software radar system that is used for both the ISR and the ISIS Array.

The historical development of MIDAS is one of international collaboration between the MIT and our european colleages in the EISCAT scientific association. Versions of the MIDAS software radar system have been used with several EISCAT radars including the EISCAT Svalbard Incoherent Scatter Radar system.
