2005 Adventures in New Mexico

New Mexico is DRY, but Coors is WET.
The sunny ridge to Buck Mountain stretches away from our campsite at 9,000 feet in the Lincoln National Forest.

The trip started with Dave and John in Sante Fe, and included a drive through the Jemez Mountains and Valles Caldera and an afternoon walk to Sante Fe Baldy.

A night in the high desert at Carlsbad Caverns (and a walk through the caves) was followed by a long 4th of July weekend in the Lincoln National Forest above Ruidoso, NM camped in the cool air on the ridgetop at 9,000 feet.

Jeeping the back roads, hiking the ridge, and searching for any water anywhere occupied the time not spent relaxing and enjoying the views from the Skyline ridge.
